My aunt Marti decided in early June that she wanted to have a small red head picnic at Shawnee Park and rent one of the shelters. After creating the event on Facebook it quickly blew up into a huge event and red heads from all over the United States wanted to come join in! So, Marti had to reevaluate her plans and basically rent out the whole park! Over 800 red heads attended this event on Saturday September 3rd 2016! Marti is planning for another event next year already!
